The Henry Gerber House at 1710 N. Crilly Court in Old Town is a brick row house built in 1885, largely intact in its Queen Anne detailing. In the 1920s it held the apartment of German-born Henry Gerber, who founded the Society for Human Rights, the first gay-rights organization incorporated in the United States. Gerber held meetings and printed the country's first known gay civil-rights newsletters here until Chicago police raided the house in 1925.

The house is a Queen Anne row house, one of a row of similar houses on Crilly Court, its historic facade mostly unchanged since 1885.
