The Shoreline Apartments is a sixteen-story apartment building completed in 1928 at 2231 E. 67th Street in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood, designed by architect Henry K. Holsman. Marketed as luxury housing, it was one of the tallest buildings in South Shore when it opened, with six- to seven-room units that included space for live-in housekeepers, modern appliances, and laundry service.

Gothic Revival detailing. Holsman's design wraps a brick exterior around a stone base, with arched windows at the ground floor and penthouse and stone quoins and patterned brick on the third and fourth floors. The lobby carries the same vocabulary indoors, with decorative arches, ceiling beams, and wrought iron light fixtures.
the style
Holsman designed the Shoreline Apartments in the Gothic Revival style, applying arched windows, quoins, and patterned brickwork to an otherwise modern high-rise apartment block.
