The Julian Medical Building, also known as the Owl Drug Store Building, is a two-story structure at the corner of Hollywood and Cahuenga Boulevards, built in 1934 on the site of Hollywood's former civic center. Financed by the Beveridge family and designed by Morgan, Walls & Clements, it combines Art Deco and Streamline Moderne styling. The ground floor opened as an Owl Drug store, giving the building its alternate name, while the second floor held medical offices.

the style

Morgan, Walls & Clements blended Art Deco and Streamline Moderne detailing on the building, giving its corner facade the curved lines and speed-inspired trim typical of Streamline Moderne commercial buildings of the mid-1930s.
