432 Park Avenue is a 1,396-foot residential skyscraper at 57th Street and Park Avenue, developed by CIM Group and Harry B. Macklowe and designed by Rafael Viñoly. Completed in 2015 as part of Billionaires' Row, it became the tallest residential building in the world and the third-tallest building in the United States at the time, with median units selling for $10.5 to $90 million.

the building

Concrete lattice facade. The tower's exterior is a lattice of poured-in-place concrete made with white Portland cement, giving the slender shaft its grid-like skin.

Segmented massing. The 84-story tower is divided into 12-story blocks separated by open, double-story mechanical floors that let wind gusts pass through the building rather than push against it.

the style

432 Park Avenue is an example of modern architecture, its stark concrete grid distinguishing it on the Midtown skyline.
