The Church of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, a Roman Catholic parish church of the Archdiocese of New York at 7 State Street in the Financial District, houses the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton. Its origins trace to Irish author Charlotte Grace O'Brien's purchase of the James Watson House as a mission for young immigrant girls; the parish was established in 1884 and raised to full parish status in 1886.

the building

An atypical parish. Our Lady of the Rosary had no significant resident population, an unusual position for a parish. On November 2, 2014, the Archdiocese of New York announced its merger with St. Peter's on Barclay Street into one parish with two sites.

the style

The church is built in the Georgian style.
