Cathedral Mansions is a trio of apartment buildings at 2900, 3000, and 3100 Connecticut Avenue NW, built from 1922 to 1924 by architect Eugene Waggaman for developer Harry Wardman in the Classical Revival style. Architect Mihran Mesrobian's initials appear on a drawing for one of the three buildings. The complex was added to the DC Inventory of Historic Sites in 1989 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
the style
Waggaman designed the buildings in the Classical Revival style, a formal, symmetrical treatment typical of Wardman's upscale Connecticut Avenue apartment developments of the era.
