One Dalton is an 850,000-square-foot skyscraper completed in 2018 in Back Bay, housing the Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences. Designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners with Cambridge Seven Associates, it is the third-tallest building in Boston and the tallest residential tower in New England — the tallest building to rise in the city since Hancock Place topped out in 1976.

Amenities. The tower holds a ballroom, reservable meeting rooms, a gym with a spa, and a private dining space, plus a five-thousand-square-foot park outside the building. Its 160 condominium residences include gas indoor fireplaces, outdoor fireplaces on select balconies, and 11-foot cove ceilings.

A companion tower. One Dalton rose alongside a shorter, 26-story companion building at 30 Dalton Street, developed by Pritzker Realty Group and credited to the same collaborating architects.

the style

Contemporary Modern (c. 1990–present): Today's default architecture: floor-to-ceiling glass, crisp panel facades, bold cantilevers, and mixed materials.
