The Anderton Court Shops, completed in 1952 on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, was Frank Lloyd Wright's final building in Los Angeles County. The small three-story cluster of shops was restored in 2024 as a flagship store for Givenchy.
the building
The ramp. An angular ramp wraps around an open parallelogram at the building's core, climbing past shops staggered a half-floor apart on either side — originally four shops and a penthouse apartment, later subdivided into six.
A secular steeple. The inverted-V front elevation gives the building a steeple-like profile, an echo of Wright's Marin Civic Center and a sharp contrast to the flat-front storefronts around it on Rodeo Drive.
the architect
Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Anderton Court Shops as his final Los Angeles County commission, completed in 1952 near the end of his career.

The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places, though later changes — a white-and-black repaint replacing the original light buff and oxidized-copper trim, plus an added canopy and signage — depart from Wright's original design.
