One World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower, is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex, designed by David Childs of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill on the northwest corner of the 16-acre site, at the location of the original 6 World Trade Center. It carries the same name as the original North Tower destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks, and is the tallest building in the United States and the Western Hemisphere.

the style

Facts describe the tower's style as contemporary architecture, following in the postmodern and modern lineage of the earlier World Trade Center towers.
