3 World Trade Center, also known as 175 Greenwich Street, is a modern-architecture skyscraper on the World Trade Center site designed by Richard Rogers's firm, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, and completed in 2018. It rises 1,079 feet over 80 stories, making it the tenth-tallest building in the city as of 2025. It is managed by Silverstein Properties under a ground lease with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
the building
Second building on this address. The current tower is the second to bear the 3 World Trade Center address. The original was the Marriott World Trade Center, a 22-story, 825-room hotel that opened in 1981 as the Vista International Hotel and was destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
A scaled-back skyscraper. The building was originally planned to reach 1,240 feet, with groundbreaking in January 2008, but for years only the lower stories were completed before the tower was finished at its current 1,079-foot height.
the style
Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners designed the tower in a modern architectural idiom for the rebuilt World Trade Center site.
