Washington Street storefronts. Three commercial storefronts face Washington Street, separated by sandstone piers, while the residential entrance sits around the corner on Gaylord Street, recessed within a rounded sandstone archway.
Copper-clad upper floors. The upper floors mix brick with protruding sections finished in pressed copper, including a rounded corner bay, all capped by a heavy denticulated copper cornice that wraps both street facades.
the style
The building's Classical Revival vocabulary shows in its sandstone piers, archway, and denticulated cornice, dressed up with an unusual amount of pressed copper cladding on the upper stories.
