Citicorp Center, now known as 601 Lexington Avenue, is famous for lifting its tower on four massive stilts so that Saint Peter's Church could remain on the site, rebuilt as a freestanding structure beneath the corner of the building. The tower's distinctive angled roofline and elevated base are the visible result of that engineering solution. It was designated a New York City Individual Landmark (LP-02582) on December 6, 2016.
